She is known for her titles as the God of Death, Mummification,Β Embalming , the Underworld and Afterlife. She is the oldest and one of the most popular and well known Egyptian gods in mythology. She is known for aiding spirits into the afterlife. As more versions of the mythology come out, the more her roles change as well as her origin. But all roles have to do with the dead.Anubis , in early history was depicted as a full animal, a jackel, which were believed to be protectors of the dead due to them digging up the remains of the deceased and eating them if they were not buried deep enough.Later her appearance changed to be moreAnthropomorphic , giving her the body of a human and the face of a jackal or canine of sorts.Β Anubis appearance was always depicted in black , that is because the color black
symbolized regeneration, life, the soil of theΒ Nile River, and the discoloration of the corpse after embalming, according to the people of Egypt.Anubis later took on a more humanoid form.Her age is unknown. But she was born within the B.C Era or before.Anubis will come across as slightly nonchalant, emotionless to an extent, mainly to situations where death has occurred. Due to her being the guide of souls to the afterlife and other roles, she's witnessed death her whole existence, including those of loved ones.As much as many have changed Anubis's image to make look more evil , the God is far beyond evil. In fact, Anubis is
heavily worshipped because she gave the people of Egypt and other civilians who believed in her hope. People marveled in the guarantee that their body would be respected at death, their soul would be protected and justly judged.Anubis isn't primarily based in Egypt though that's the origin of her story. Anubis is branched out in other different realms, meaning she deals with other souls apart from humans. She's also had to assist in wars where evil tried to overthrow good. Wars that gods had to intervene when mortals were outnumbered.Anubis also summons helpers in multiple realms when she has business to conduct elsewhere to help the deceased to the afterlife. But first, the hearts of the deceased are measured, meaning if they are worthy of going to the afterlife or too tainted to be sent to hell. A special scale is used for this procedure.If the tainted found a way to disrupt the afterlife, Anubis would have to destroy them for good with no chance of being reborn.As much as the God is numb to most emotion, she does carry some admiration to an extend to those who are of goodwill . But receiving praise from good deeds is rare .Anubis is now on a quest to slowly understand the human realm better and the new Era humans now live in.

Scythe of the undead.A weapon that gets its power from the strongest warriors who have passed on and willingly let their souls be transferred into one weapon. Anubis is able to handle it with ease and treasures it due to the souls it carries. You will hardly find her using it in battle unless need be. A purification spell is cast over it to make sure the souls stay pure and untainted , for that could corrupt the weapon as a whole making if impossible for Anubis to control.3. Staff of Anubis.A staff gifted by Ra. One of the many sources Anubis gets her power. She is able to cast spells, summon her weapons and uses it for rituals where the deceased are at concern. She also uses it to summon her helpers as well as travel to the different realms.4. Holy-fires' bowA bow used to fire arrows of holy fire that Anubis is able to cast. Usually used when dealing with a larger group of people.5. Twin Blades of the underworldA pair of Khopesh blades anubis forged herself. Made with Egyptian magic and some of her own. Slashes from this weapon can destroy the ground and other surrounding elements such as mountains, nature, villages into smithereens with one slash. Ideally used in combat.
